Spiritual Awakening
I have always been interested in the meaning of life and how we evolve. I believe in reïncarnation and karma and I have read various books about that; also the New Testimony and the Bhagavad Ghita.
There is one writer however who brought my spiritual development way and way further by giving me the answers that I had been looking for for so many years.
His name is Jozef Rulof.
Jozef Rulof was a medium who lived in the Netherlands. He lived here from 1898 to 1952. If you visit his website you can see he left us an enormous legacy, over 20 or 30 books. Those are being translated in other languages which will take a lot of time to complete.
I am now reading the second volume of his Cosmology and although the publishers strongly recommend to first read all the previous books before you start on the Cosmology, I do want to share with you a tiny piece of information.
I have read all his previous books, starting from "A view into the hereafter" to "Jeus of mother Crisje" (his biography). And I agree with the publishers to first read those books before you start with Rulof's Cosmology. That gives you a proper foundation on how to put the Cosmology into perspective and reading the first series of books will most likely change and deepen your understanding on the spiritual meaning of life, karma, reïncarnation, etcetera.
But what I really want to share with you is that in the second part of the Cosmology the masters that Rulof works with state that the spiritual awakening for the people on earth will start to develop after the year 2000.
Spiritual awakening in that context will not happen all of a sudden and overnight. Like we would all wake up the next day and everything changed and everybody said: "What happened??".
It can't go that way because it comes from yourself and it depends on your state of mind.
But the knowledge about spiritual matters has evolved a lot over the world in the last decades. We have seen New Age and many other things like that. And internet will bring us significant steps further in creating a new global society.
So how does that go, spiritual awakening? What will happen and what do you do?
I don't know. How should I know? I'm just part of society and I'm just as curious about that as anybody else.
I want to share something else with you from Rulof's work that made a big difference for me and made everything more logical and sensible. It helped me to better understand things and therefore easier to accept my present state of being.
The one and foremost biggest thing that made it all acceptable to me was the statement that Jesus Christ did not get everything just like that or that he had always been specially priviliged or anything like that when he came to earth 2000 years ago.
Just like everybody else Jesus has had his full cycle of reïncarnations here on earth to complete and he had to fulfill his karma just like everybody else. After that he was able to develop further into the light and everything else.
To some old religions in Asia (like India and China) that sounds perfectly sensible and is in fact common knowledge among them since they have all long accepted the concepts of karma and reïncarnations for many centuries.
But here in the West, where I was raised, those concepts were not common spread until way in the 20th century.
So what they did in the books of Rulof was combining the message of Jesus with the ancient eastern religions.
By putting Jesus Christ into that perspective, saying he is the bringer of the light, he IS the light, but he had to fulfill his path like everybody else because there is no exception for anyone, none at all; by putting it like that I felt assured that I was no different from Jesus and that it is just a matter of time and development before I and anybody else will reach the same state of being as he has reached.
Doesn't that sound sensible to you? I'm sure it will take me a long, very long time before I reach that. The books of Rulof tell about that too. They give a glimpse of how people will evolve once they are finished on earth.
A lot of what is said in his first trilogy compares very good to what you can read in "La Comedia Divina" by Dante Alighieri. The difference between Dante and Jozef is that Dante described his book as fiction and fantasy and Jozef states that what he writes is the truth and nothing else.
The masters that Rulof works with gave an explanation for that difference. They said that if Dante had done it the same as Rulof he would have been tortured to death in his days, back in the medieval centuries. By the time Rulof started his mission on earth Western society had evolved so much that that would no longer happen. And it didn't.
Rulof gave us much more than Dante ever could have done in his days. The time simply wasn't ready then.
So I would like to tell you some more interesting things that I now read in the second volume of his Cosmology. There are five volumes, each about 300 pages. I really would.
But like the publishers said, if you are interested you best start at Rulof's first books like "A view into the hereafter" or "The cycle of the soul". I can recommend them to you.
